رولان غاروس: أندرييفا تتوج بلقبها الكبير الأول عن 19 عاما

توجت الروسية ميرا أندرييفا، المصنفة ثامنة عالميا، بلقبها الأول في البطولات الأربع الكبرى عن 19 عاما، بفوزها على البولندية مايا خفالينسكا بسهولة تامة 6-3 و6-2 السبت في نهائي بطولة فرنسا المفتوحة في كرة المضرب.

وكانت مواجهة السبت بين لاعبتين لم تتوجا سابقا بأي لقب كبير، مع ترجيح كفة أندرييفا التي سبق لها أن وصلت إلى نصف النهائي في رولان غاروس عام 2024 وربع النهائي العام الماضي.

وباتت أندرييفا أصغر لاعبة تتوج بلقب رولان غاروس منذ الأميركية مونيكا سيليتش عام 1992 حين توجت بطلة للموسم الثالث تواليا عن 18 عاما. somethingsdifferent.biz

كما أصبحت الروسية أول لاعبة أو لاعب من مواليد 2005 وما بعد يتوج بلقب كبير.

وقالت بعد المباراة “كنت أشاهد رولان غاروس على التلفزيون منذ كنت صغيرة جدا، بالتالي الفوز بهذه البطولة كان حلما كبيرا بالنسبة لي ولا أستطيع بصراحة أن أصدق أني أحمل هذه الكأس الآن”.

وتوجهت إلى منافستها بالقول “تهانينا لمايا على هذه الأسابيع الثلاثة الرائعة، بعد المرور عبر التصفيات والفوز بعدد كبير من المباريات والتغلب على العديد من اللاعبات الرائعات”.

وباتت خفالينسكا أول لاعبة تصل إلى نهائي البطولة الفرنسية بعد مرورها بالتصفيات.

وفرض التعادل نفسه في بداية اللقاء، مع تبادل اللاعبتان للكسر في الأشواط الأربعة الأولى، قبل أن تخلق أندرييفا الفارق في الشوط السابع حين تقدمت 4-3 على إرسال منافستها، ثم 5-3 على إرسالها قبل أن تحسمها على إرسال البولندية 6-3.

وبدأت أندرييفا المجموعة الثانية من حيث أنهت الأولى، متقدمة 3-0 بعد انتزاعها الشوط الثاني على إرسال منافستها ثم 4-0 بعدما كسر جديد للإرسال.

ورغم خسارتها إرسالها في الشوط السابع حين كانت متقدمة 5-1، حافظت أندرييفا على هدوئها وردت بالمثل في الشوط الثامن لتنهي المجموعة 6-2 والمباراة في ساعة و22 دقيقة.

واختتمت هذه المواجهة التي لم تكن في الحسبان، أسبوعين حافلين بالمفاجآت انقلبت خلالهما الموازين بفعل موجة الحر التي ألقت بظلالها على الأسبوع الأول من ثانية البطولات الأربع الكبرى.

انخفضت الدرجات في الأسبوع الثاني، لكن الحرارة كانت مرتفعة تنافسيا في الملعب مع خروج البيلاروسية أرينا سابالينكا، المصنفة الأولى عالميا، والأميركية كوكو غوف، بطلة 2025، والبولندية إيغا شفيونتيك، المتوجة أربع مرات في باريس، والأوكرانية مارتا كوستيوك التي كانت من دون هزيمة على الملاعب الترابية في 2026 حتى خسارتها الخميس في نصف النهائي.

أندرييفا تنهي القصة الخيالية لخفالينسكا

وبأسلوبين مختلفين، حيث تعتمد أندرييفا على القوة وخفالينسكا العسراء على التنويع في لعبها، أظهرت اللاعبتان قدرات بدنية وذهنية وفنية لا جدال فيها لقلب التوقعات وبلوغ المباراة النهائية.

لكن الغلبة في النهاية كانت للروسية، منهية القصة الخيالية لمنافستها البالغة 24 عاما والتي وصلت إلى القرعة الرئيسية للبطولة للمرة الأولى، في مسار غير مسبوق في تاريخ رولان غاروس في حقبة الاحتراف التي بدأت عام 1968.

وبعد أن كانت مجهولة قبل ثلاثة أسابيع، نجت البولندية من ثلاثة أدوار في التصفيات قبل أن تحصد ستة انتصارات متتالية في الأدوار الرئيسية.

وكان هذا النجاح غير وارد حتى في حسابات خفالينسكا التي لم تكن واثقة من قدرتها على تمويل بضع ليال إضافية في فنادق باريس بعد فوزها في الدور الثالث.

ومنذ بداية حقبة الاحتراف، لم تنجح سوى البريطانية إيما رادوكانو في بلوغ نهائي بطولة كبرى بعد مرورها في التصفيات، لكن البريطانية توجت حينها بلقب فلاشينغ ميدوز عام 2021.

وخلافا للبولندية، قدمت أندرييفا أوراق اعتمادها في مناسبات عدة رغم أعوامها الـ19، إن كان في البطولات الكبرى أو في دورات رابطة المحترفات (دبليو تي أيه)، فارضة نفسها من بين المواهب الاستثنائية المرشحة لحرق المراحل وبلوغ القمم.

بلغت نصف نهائي رولان غاروس عام 2024، وأحرزت عام 2025 لقبي دورتي دبي وإنديان ويلز للألف نقطة، لتستقر بثبات ضمن العشر الأوليات في تصنيف “دبليو تي أيه”.

وعرفت أيضا نصيبها من خيبات الأمل، على غرار ما حصل العام الماضي في ربع النهائي على ملعب فيليب-شاترييه الذي كان جمهورُه بأكمله يساند منافستها الفرنسية لويس بواسون (361 عالميا حينها).

وأمام كوستيوك، لم تتأثر اللاعبة التي تشرف على تدريبها الإسبانية كونشيتا مارتينيس (وصيفة رولان غاروس عام 2000)، لا بإغلاق سقف الملعب حين كانت متقدمة 6-1 و4-1، ولا بخسارتها إرسالها وعودة الأوكرانية إلى الأجواء بتقليصها النتيجة إلى 3-4.

ومن المتوقع أن تصعد خفالينسكا إلى المركز 21 عالميا على الأقل بعد رولان غاروس، لكن التتويج كان ليخلّد اسمها في سجل بطولة لم تتوج بها سوى بولندية واحدة، هي المصنفة الثالثة عالميا شفيونتيك التي أحرزت اللقب أربع مرات.

Doha, Qatar: The opening round of the Sport For All Track Series 2026 concluded successfully at the Aspire Indoor Running Track, organized by the Qatar Sports For All Federation under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth.

The event attracted strong participation, with more than 300 male and female competitors from various age groups, including children, adults, and senior citizens.

The competition was structured across several timed categories to accommodate participants of different ages.

Adult runners aged 17 and above competed in races lasting between 15 and 30 minutes, while juniors aged 7 to 17 took part in a 10-minute race.

Children aged 3 to 6 participated in a five-minute event.

The format was designed to maximize participation by allowing competitors to complete as many laps as possible within the allotted time, ensuring fair opportunities for all entrants.

The series consists of four races, all scheduled to take place during June at the Aspire Indoor Track. The events provide participants with a unique sporting experience in a climate-controlled environment, offering ideal conditions for running during the summer season.

Executive Director of the Qatar Sports For All Federation, Abdullah Al Dosari said that the inaugural edition of the Sport For All Track Series has made a strong and promising start, characterized by excitement and competitive spirit.

He highlighted the significant turnout of families, noting that it reflects growing public awareness of the importance of running and its role in promoting health and active lifestyles.

Al Dosari emphasized that the federation places particular importance on summer sporting events that bring families together and encourage regular participation in physical activity.

He also noted that registration remains open for the remaining rounds of the series through the Sport For All mobile application.

The initiative offers participants access to suitable indoor venues and encourages year-round engagement in running events as part of the federation’s ongoing efforts to promote sports culture and increase participation in physical and recreational activities.

The four-race Aspire Indoor Track Series forms part of the Qatar Sports For All Federation’s annual calendar of events and championships. The federation organizes dozens of races and community-based sports initiatives throughout the year, aimed at engaging people of all ages.

In total, more than 850 sports and community events are scheduled for the current year, in line with the vision and strategic plans of the Ministry of Sports and Youth to strengthen the culture of physical activity and establish sport as a way of life for the widest possible segment of society.

The Iranians went into the tournament with confidence after a 3-1 win over Gambia on May 29 in Antalya. Iran will play in Group G alongside Belgium, Egypt, and New Zealand.

Republic of Korea (Ranked 25th)

Republic of Korea remained undefeated in qualifying, winning Group B with 22 points to extend its remarkable streak of consecutive World Cup appearances. Iraq takes the longest qualification route among the AFC teams. The Lions of Mesopotamia finished third in Group B and then advanced through the continental play-offs, culminating in a dramatic 2-1 intercontinental play-off win over Bolivia in March 2026. This marks Iraq’s return to the World Cup for the first time since 1986. Under coach Graham Arnold, Iraq enters Group I with France, Senegal, and Norway on a high after a 1-0 friendly win over Andorra on May 29.

Saudi Arabia comfortably sealed a World Cup spot by topping Play-off Group B in Round 4 of AFC qualifying.
