Alors que la saison 2026-2027 n’a pas encore débuté dans la plupart des grands championnats européens, les tours préliminaires des compétitions interclubs de l’UEFA battent leur plein. Plusieurs internationaux guinéens se sont une nouvelle fois illustrés ce jeudi. Aliou Badara Baldé a parfaitement lancé sa saison en trouvant le chemin des filets avec le FC Saint-Gall, tandis qu’Aboubacar Camara s’est montré décisif en délivrant une passe décisive en USL League One. Aguibou Camara, de son côté, a été titularisé avec Ludogorets Razgrad.
UEFA : Ligue Europa et Ligue Conférence, les Guinéens en action
Le PAOK Salonique s’est imposé sur la pelouse du Dynamo Kiev (3-2). Mady Camara est entré en jeu pour le dernier quart d’heure.
Le Maccabi Tel-Aviv a largement dominé le Sheriff Tiraspol (5-0). Mohamed Ali Camara a disputé l’intégralité de la rencontre.
Le FC Saint-Gall a pris le meilleur sur Benfica (2-1). Titulaire pendant 73 minutes, Aliou Badara Baldé a inscrit le premier but des siens à la 37e minute, lançant idéalement son équipe vers la victoire.
Le Dinamo Tbilissi a surclassé le FK Žalgiris (3-0). Algassime Bah a disputé l’intégralité de la rencontre.
Le FC Alashkert a tenu en échec le CFR Cluj (1-1). Momo Fanyé Touré est resté sur la pelouse durant 77 minutes.
Le Pyunik Erevan s’est incliné face au Debreceni VSC (0-1). Momo Yansané a été remplacé à la 66e minute.

Ludogorets Razgrad a été battu sur la pelouse de l’Hapoël Tel-Aviv (2-0). Aguibou Camara était titulaire et a disputé l’intégralité de la rencontre.
États-Unis : Aboubacar Camara décisif
Le Columbus Crew s’est incliné face au New York City FC (2-1). Titulaire, Sékou Tidiany Bangoura a cédé sa place à un quart d’heure du terme.
Le Real Salt Lake a été battu sur la pelouse du Los Angeles FC (3-1). Morgan Guilavogui a disputé 79 minutes.
Le Portland Hearts of Pine s’est incliné à domicile face à l’Union Omaha (2-1). Titulaire pendant 66 minutes, Aboubacar Camara s’est illustré en délivrant une passe décisive dès la 9e minute sur l’unique réalisation de son équipe.
Ouzbékistan : Amadou Doumbouya expulsé
Le Dinamo Samarcande s’est imposé sur la pelouse de Surkhon Termez (2-1). Titularisé, Amadou Doumbouya a été expulsé à l’heure de jeu après avoir reçu un carton rouge.

Unbelievable steal? Nairobi United snap up Harambee Stars custodian Farouk Shikhalo
NAIROBI, Kenya, July 24, 2026 – Harambee Stars goalkeeper Farouk Shikhalo has completed his switch to Nairobi United after just over a year at Ethiopian giants St George.
The experienced netminder was unveiled by Naibois on Friday after weeks of speculation over his move to the 2024/25 FKF Cup champions.
“The spider is here! Kenyan international Faruk Shikhalo joins us, bringing experience, leadership, and quality to the squad. Welcome to the family. Letâs make history,” the club announced.
Shikhalo’s arrival signals an experienced pair of hands and a calm head between the posts as Nairobi United aim to build upon their impressive debut in the top flight.
The 29-year-old has played for top clubs within and without the country, including 13-time league champions Tusker FC (2014/15), Bandari (2018/19 and 2025), Yanga (2019-2021) and KCB (2023/24), among others.
For the dockers, he won the golden glove in 2018/19 in addition to inspiring them to the 2019 FKF Cup.
At the international level, the Bureti-born has been a mainstay of Harambee Stars, proving an able deputy and welcome competition to Byrne Omondi.
He was part of the team that played at last year’s Africa Nations Championships (CHAN), reaching the quarter finals of the continental showpiece on home soil.
Shikhalo was between the sticks for Kenya’s 1-0 win over Zambia in their final Group A encounter at Kasarani Stadium.
He was also in the 23-man squad that featured at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt albeit he didn’t play in any match.
Rennie to pick rookie as Savea’s stand-in
An uncapped loose forward is tipped for a shock inclusion in the 44-man All Blacks touring squad to tackle the Springboks in the Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry series.
According to New Zealand’s The Post, former Moana Pasifika No 8 Semisi Tupou Ta’eiloa is in line for a call-up from All Blacks head coach Dave Rennie after signing with NZ Rugby following the club’s collapse.
Tupou Ta’eiloa’s possible selection would bolster Rennie’s loose forward stocks for an eight-match tour that begins against the Stormers (7 August), before fixtures against the Sharks and Bulls, followed by a four-Test series against the Boks starting at Ellis Park on 22 August.

His inclusion would also ease the workload on skipper Ardie Savea, who is expected to be managed across the demanding tour, by providing cover during the club fixtures in South Africa.
The 22-year-old Ta’eiloa impressed for Moana over the past two Super Rugby Pacific seasons, producing several standout displays at No 8 while allowing Savea to shift to the side of the scrum.
A powerful, gainline-focused loosie, Ta’eiloa ranked among Super Rugby’s leading forwards for post-contact metres last season despite playing fewer matches than most of his rivals.
His potential arrival comes after inconsistent Nations Championship displays from back-row workhorses Wallace Sititi and Peter Lakai.

Cavs add blitz to derby duel in Boland
Ex-Stormers prop Ali Vermaak will make his Boland Cavaliers debut against his former side in Sunday’s Currie Cup clash, with Blitzbok David Brits also back in the match 23.
Vermaak is one of three changes to the starting XV after the Cavaliers opened their campaign with a victory over the Bulls XV at Boland Park last week.
The hosts will face a Stormers XXIII side that also started the season with a win, defeating defending champions Griquas, although Boland already claimed a pre-season victory over their Cape neighbours in the Winelands.

Gift Dlamini earns his first start, joining captain Thurlow Marsh and Khwezi Mafu in the loose trio, while Domenic Smit replaces the injured James Tedder at fullback.
Smit’s promotion creates space for Brits among the replacements, with the rest of the backline retained. Jayden Bantom resumes kicking duties, while the midfield combination of Lunathi Nxele and Jurick Lewis remains intact.

The Cavaliers have kept faith with the second-row pairing of Marlyn Williams and Jeandré Leonard, while the halfback combination of Chris Smit and Louis Schreuder continues to develop.

Aladji Bamba quitte Monaco et rejoint Newcastle
C’est désormais acté. L’AS Monaco a confirmé le départ d’Aladji Bamba, qui s’engage avec Newcastle United. Le jeune milieu de terrain français quitte la Principauté pour découvrir la Premier League dans le cadre d’un transfert estimé à plus de 40 millions d’euros, bonus compris.
Formé au centre de formation monégasque, le joueur de 20 ans avait progressivement intégré l’équipe première avant d’attirer l’attention de plusieurs clubs européens. Ses qualités dans l’entrejeu, notamment son activité défensive, sa capacité à récupérer les ballons et son volume de jeu, ont convaincu les dirigeants des Magpies de miser sur lui.
Avec cette opération, Monaco réalise une nouvelle vente importante d’un joueur issu de son vivier, tandis que Newcastle poursuit sa stratégie basée sur le recrutement de jeunes talents à fort potentiel. Aladji Bamba devient ainsi une nouvelle recrue du projet porté par le club anglais, qui cherche à construire un effectif compétitif sur le long terme.
Le milieu de terrain rejoint donc les rangs des Magpies après une saison où il a découvert le haut niveau avec l’ASM, disputant notamment des rencontres de Ligue 1 et de Ligue des champions.
