Regissören till den kommande Magic: The Gathering-filmen ger en kort och positiv uppdatering

Richard Garfields otroligt populära kortspel Magic: The Gathering ligger i händerna hos Legendary Entertainment för att bli film. Projektet har varit aktivt några år men vi har inte fått höra särskilt mycket om det. Nu har iallafall Matt Johnson, som kommer att regissera, gett en liten uppdatering kring det hela. I en intervju med GQ säger han följande; "It's going amazing. It is, in true Bourdain fashion, a kind of unbelievable miracle that I specifically would get to do that at this stage in my career, because my own personal story is that I was desperate to become a professional Magic card player. That's all I wanted.

And I gave it up because I was like, "I'm just not good enough. I will never be able to do this." So to be handed something like this is an act of irony that I'm so grateful for. How's it going? Going great. The Magic: The Gathering artists are currently drawing storyboards for the movie, and it's some of the best stuff I've ever seen."

Förutom att vi vet att filmens manus skrivs av Noah Gardner och Aidan Fitzgerald så finns det inga bekräftade skådespelare eller annat. Vi vet heller inte när inspelning startar eller när vi kan förväntas få se filmen. Men Johnson säger i intervjun; "You and I are going to talk about it in whatever, two years, a year and a half. We'll see if I made a big mistake."

Vi får helt enkelt vänta på mer information kring den kommande filmen.
