Sophie Cunningham says she spoke to Adam Silver about next WNBA commissioner

NBA commissioner often speaks to players about issues
Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham has discussed the soon-to-be vacant WNBA commissioner’s job with Adam Silver after the NBA commissioner reached out to her.
“I have talked to Adam Silver a couple times, and I think he’s a great guy,” Cunningham said on Monday. “He was very knowledgeable and full of wisdom and so getting to talk to him and hear his perspective of how he approaches the NBA is huge, who he’s kind of looking for. I think if you want to know the real answers, you go to him.

Crazy Taxi is a game all about speed—no time for any lore when the average time a passenger spends in your vehicle is under half a minute. I just need to know that you wanna go to the KFC, not why you're heading there in the first place.
Sega is somewhat trying to pump a narrative into its attempt at reviving the series, Crazy Taxi: World Tour—a game I'm not totally sold on yet based on a one-hour hands-on I had at Gamescom. I'm don't know how good a story you can get out of a bloke committing several traffic violations—though then again, you could argue that's every Fast and Furious movie ever—but Netflix clearly sees something in the zaniness as it's one of the many Sega projects the company has decided it wants to adapt.
As reported by Variety, in Crazy Taxi's case, it'll be taking the form of a comedy movie written by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand (responsible for Naked Gun's 2025 reboot). On the production side, it'll be handled by Original Films and Toru Nakahara—both of whom also produced all three Sonic the Hedgehog movies along with the Knuckles and Sonic Prime television shows.

"We couldn't be more excited to continue our longstanding relationship with Sega and bring Crazy Taxi to life with our partners at Netflix," a statement from Original Film's Neal H. Moritz and Toby Ascher read. "This film is for anyone who's spent hours behind the wheel of a yellow cab on their Dreamcast, with the music cranked up, smashing through everything in sight just to make the next fare."
Now I am one of those people, but I'm honestly a little unsure how you can get a full 90 minutes of action out of someone with a painfully 90s updo picking people up and dropping them off about 20 meters down the road. Movies have certainly conjured up more material with less, though, so who knows?
That's not all Sega and Netflix has up its sleeve, either. It also has yet another animated Sonic television series in the works, along with a movie adaptation of Stranger Than Heaven. You know, that game that isn't even out yet.
I feel like we've been on a relatively decent hot streak for actual good videogame movie adaptations over the last few years, though I fear Netflix's penchant for turning absolutely anything into a straight-to-streaming romp may careen us right back into mediocre territory before long.
World of Warcraft: Forever has a new race you can't get without paying $30, and it's not the first impression fans were hoping for: "They are just blue elves"
Blizzard gave WoW Classic+ hopefuls the news they were hoping for this past weekend during the BlizzCon 2026 reveals with a first look at World of Warcraft: Forever – a reimagining of the 21-year-old MMO's nostalgic beginnings.
In case you missed it, it ticks all the boxes and then some, with revamped visuals, a plethora of new quests, and much, much more… including a never-before-seen race, the Skyborne.
While that sounds incredibly exciting on paper, there's a bit of a catch: the Skyborne will cost you, and it's not cheap. In fact, it's at least $29.99, as per the official World of Warcraft website.
I say at least because it's DLC of sorts, and there are a few options. There's the Skyborne Epic Pack for some $20 more, and the Warcraft Forever Collection for a whopping $79.99, for example.
While these two come with more than just the Skyborne race – which is admittedly stunning, appearing as a soft periwinkle-skinned take on elves – the base $30 purchase is just to access the Skyborne come World of Warcraft: Forever's release in November… and, unsurprisingly, folks aren't thrilled.
Just have a search over on Reddit, and you'll find countless threads discussing the Skyborne race and its hefty price tag. Heck, there's even a huge "Skyborne feedback" post, given how hot a topic this is.
"I'm extremely positive about WoW: Forever and I'll be playing day one with high hopes," one comment reads. "That being said, not a fan of this race. They dropped the ball on that part."

It's not just the price, though. Others take issue with the fact that the Skyborne just… feel out of place.
As one person puts it, "From the aesthetic to the druid forms and mostly the blue variant has a weird retail vibe I just can't describe." Another dubs this a "mindbogglingly strange decision" on Blizzard's part, while many more consider it counter-creative. "They are just blue elves," after all – much like Night Elves.
"Should have been something else," one fan complains. "Something more interesting and new."
Honestly, there's a lot more to read through regarding the Skyborne controversy, from the race's price to its potential lore-breaking implications, but I do still have to admit I'm on the fence about it all myself.
I don't like the paywall or the lack of faction identity, but I find the design quite nice aesthetically.
I suppose the community will be split on this one as it is on just about everything, and that's that – 'tis the nature of MMOs, I fear. Blizzard also has yet to speak on the Skyborne debacle yet itself, but I'd advise keeping an eye on its channels.
Marathon's next major update runs a few months further away, permanent PvE in hand, as Bungie ditch their "strict seasonal schedule"
Bungie have announced that the Marathon update originally slated to arrive on September 22nd will not be doing so. Instead, it'll rock up in December as part of a major update dubbed Symbiosis, which'll introduce a new permanent PvE mode. Bungie are pegging it as "the first major step in Marathon’s next chapter" and have decided to ditch their established seasonal cadence for additions as part of this raft of changed plans.
