Barça Season Launched with Jesus, Rodri, and Wingers
The Blaugrana squad looks significantly different following the exits of Lewandowski and Ferran. Despite initial market doubts, the team secured a potent attacking core. The arrival of Gabriel Jesus, alongside wingers Gordon and Adeyemi and the signing of Rodri, provides a strong foundation for the new campaign. akupunkturabielsko.pl
Baker Mayfield hopes to extend starting record against Joe Burrow to 4-0
Sunday's game between the Buccaneers and Bengals has an intriguing subplot.
Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield has never lost to Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow.
Mayfield is 3-0 against Burrow as a starter. All three matchups happened in 2020 and 2021, when Mayfield played for the Browns.
And, yes, Mayfield faced Burrow in 2022, when Mayfield played for the Panthers. In that game, however, P.J. Walker got the start; Mayfield entered the game after halftime, with the Panthers trailing 35-0.
The Mayfield-Burrow matchup is also one of two Week 1 games featuring a pair of Heisman Trophy winners. The other one happens in Charlotte, between Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and Panthers quarterback Bryce Young.
The Bucs-Bengals game carries greater weight than Mayfield's 3-0 record as a starter against Burrow. Both teams need to get off to a good start if they hope to get back to the playoffs.
Purdue vs. Wake Forest Prediction, Odds, Pick For College Football Week 2
The Purdue Boilermakers will face the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in a Big Ten-ACC showdown on Saturday in a Week 2 college football matchup on FS1. Purdue opened the season 1-0 with a Week 1 win over Indiana State. Transfer running back Fame Ijeboi made an immediate impact, earning the highest PFF rushing grade (97.3) and offensive grade (96.1) among running backs in Week 1. Ijeboi finished with 87 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Returning quarterback Ryan Browne also had a strong start to the season, throwing for 317 yards and three touchdowns. Unfortunately for the Boilermakers, the schedule gets much tougher from here. The Demon Deacons led 38-3 in the fourth quarter before allowing two late touchdowns. UNC transfer Gio Lopez impressed in his Wake Forest debut, throwing for 350 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Ty Clark III provided another explosive element to the offense, rushing for 105 yards on just seven carries.
