Shubman Gill meets Arvid Lindblad and other Formula 1 stars ahead of England ODI series

India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill attended the 2026 British Grand Prix at Silverstone ahead of the England tour. During his visit at the Grand Prix he met Formula 1 rising star Arvid Lindblad, along with several well-known names from the world of sport and entertainment.

Gill spent his time in the Formula 1 paddock and visited the Mercedes garage. He also met Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff, four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah and British actor and entrepreneur Damson Idris. The interactions quickly became viral on social media as fans were enjoying the crossover between cricket and Formula 1.

The meeting between Gill’s and Lindblad caught special attention as both the athletes share Punjabi roots, and their interaction was appreciated by fans online.

Gill also enjoyed game of corridor cricket with Antonelli inside the paddock which added another memorable moment to his Formula 1 experience.

The India skipper will now shift his focus back to cricket and will prepare for the three-match ODI series against England, starting on July 14 in Birmingham.
